Ashley True has recently been named as the Regional Counsel for T. Parker Host, focusing on its redevelopment of the former Avondale Shipyard’s 254-acre site into a world-scale logistics hub. With more than 20 years of legal, regulatory, and legislative experience, True has counseled C-suite executives on commercial and regulatory issues, domestic and international strategic business initiatives, corporate governance, and public company reporting. She has negotiated sophisticated global commercial agreements for the energy, EPC, logistics, real estate, and finance sectors. True’s career began in 1992 as a staffer to US Senator John Breaux. Following law school, she clerked for US District Judges Ivan Lemelle and Tom Porteous and served as senior counsel in the SEC’s enforcement division. She has held various roles in the private sector including: vice president of global litigation and regulatory affairs with Morgan Stanley, general counsel for the Trump SoHo development project, The Shaw Group corporate counsel, and in-house roles in the logistics industry with Agility and Panalpina. She holds a B.A. from LSU and a J.D. from Tulane.
