Richard Seeg is managing director, Americas, at Zeamarine, responsible for all commercial activities in North, Central, and South America. He began his career in 1998, handling chartering and sales in the Asia department of Intermarine in New Orleans. In 2001, he moved to Seoul, South Korea, to open an office and take responsibility for the Asian market. Seeg moved the Asia headquarters to Shanghai in 2004, and expanded the company’s Asian operations to cover the area from Japan to the Suez Canal. He returned to New Orleans in 2010 to head the liner service covering North Coast South America and the Caribbean, then was promoted to cover the entire Americas liner service, Intermarine’s largest division, with more than 150 voyages per year. In 2018, the Zeaborn Group and Intermarine entered into a joint venture named Zeamarine. Seeg earned a B.A. in biology from Tufts University and an MBA from the AB Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
