Susan Farrell is vice president, IHS Markit Energy-Wide Perspectives and heads the Global Energy Scenarios, Climate and Carbon and the Strategic Horizons executive briefing service. With a particular expertise in strategy, she provides quarterly presentations to executive teams and boards of directors discussing the IHS Markit outlook for energy industry drivers, markets, and company investments. Farrell joined IHS Markit in 2013 when the firm acquired PFC Energy. She had started the company’s Houston office in 2000, bringing more than 20 twenty years of direct industry experience in the assessment and implementation of strategic planning for international markets. Previously, she led the global strategy groups of two major oilfield service companies, Brown and Root and McDermott International. Farrell lived and worked in Europe for over 10 years and traveled extensively in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. She holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Boston University.
